HAJAN: Second
semi final of the Victor Force Inter District Volleyball Tournament
which is being organized by 13 Rashtriya Rifles (KUMAON) under the
aegis of 3 Sector Rashtriya Rifles was played today at Army Goodwill
School, Hajan, between Shupian-I and Ganderbal-I. The match was won in
three straight sets by Ganderbal-I with a score of 25-22, 25-22 and
25-10. Ganderbal-I will meet Pulwama-II in finals on 28 Feb 2012 at Army
Goodwill School, Hajan.
The tournament commenced on 7th Feb
2012 with 14 teams participating from seven districts namely Anantnag,
Badgam, Shupian, Pulwama, Kulgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal of Victor Force.
The tournament aimed at developing a competitive spirit amongst the
Kashmiri youth has brought together youth from over 50 villages of
Kashmir. The matches were keenly witnessed by one and all and drew
tremendous participation and enthusiasm from the locals.
