KISHTWAR: An
educational tour consisting of 23 children and two teachers from Kishtwar area
was organized by Rashtriya Rifles under the aegis of Counter Insurgency Force
(Delta).
The children hailing from
remote and far flung villages of insurgency affected areas of Kishtwar district
were flagged off by Commander Headquarters Sector Rashtriya Rifles today at
Kishtwar. The tour would be visiting to
Bangalore and Mysore and would return on 19 Jan 12. The tour will also visit places of historical
and religious importance at Bangalore.
The children would get an opportunity to be introduced to the rich
traditions, heritage and culture of our great nation. Speaking
on the occasion, Commander, Sector Rashtriya Rifles stated that the tour aims
to provide the children an opportunity to witness the development taking place
in rest of India, which would act as a strong motivation to bring out changes
in today’s evolving society in Jammu & Kashmir.
He also expressed hope that the tour will
have a positive impact on these young impressionable minds and will motivate
them to excel in life. Local populace
and civil dignitaries present on the occasion lauded the efforts of Army in providing these children with a life
time opportunity.
