CROSSED SWORDS DIVISION PAY HOMAGE TO MARTYRS

AKHNOOR: The Crossed Swords Division celebrated its 48th Raising Day.  Floral tributes were paid during a solemn ceremony at Akhnoor War Memorial, to the brave martyrs who had made the supreme sacrifice to the nation.

Maj Gen NPS Hira, in his message to the troops, conveyed his greetings to all ranks of the Division on the auspicious occasion, paying rich tributes to the martyrs, who made the supreme sacrifice beyond the call of duty in upholding the nation’s honour.  He exhorted all ranks to maintain the highest levels of operational readiness, while rededicating themselves towards achieving the goals set out to defend the motherland.

Besides steadfastly guarding the borders and lines of control, the Crossed Swords Division has been at the forefront in supporting the Awam and the Civil Administration.  The Division has undertaken many developmental projects in the sector, through its ‘Sadbhavana’ schemes and other initiatives, striving to work towards ameliorating the general condition of the people and alleviating their problems.
