WUZUR (QAZIGUND):
36 Rashtriya Rifles organized Intra District Volleyball Tournament at Army
Goodwill School for the villages of Anantnag & Kulgam Districts. The
tournament was conducted for five days commencing from 30 January onwards. A total of 08 teams participated in the
event. The final match was played on 03
February 2012 between team from Behibagh & Kulgam districts. In a very electrifying and thrilling match, Behibagh
won the tournament by 3 - 1.
The
tournament was aimed at developing a competitive spirit amongst the local
youths and also to provide them a platform to showcase their talent. The event drew tremendous participation and
enthusiasm from the locals.
Commander
2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles gave away the prizes to the winner and runners up of
the tournament. All the participating
players were also given consolation prizes.
Commander 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles while addressing the media, stated
that as part of Phase-I Intra District Tournament was conducted, in Phase-II
Inter District Tournament will be conducted by Army in which teams from various
district of South Kashmir will be participating.
