BANIHAL: An education
cum motivational tour of children from Baniha and adjoining areas was flagged-in today at Chandrakot by
Commander Sector Rashtriya Rifles.
The party
comprised of 23 children and two teachers from remote villages of Banihal.
The 10 days trip reom 25Feb to 05Mar included visit to Ajmer, Mt Abu and
Udaipur. At each of these locations the students were taken to see the
rich cultural and historical heritage of Rajasthan. The excursion
organised by the Rashtriya
Rifles based at Banihal is yet another effort by Army to inspire the local populace to join the
national main stream and contribute towards peace and prosperity in the region.
During the
impressive flag in ceremony at Chandrakot, while interacting with the teachers
and children the Commander expressed hope that the excursion had left a
memorable imprint on the minds of the children.
He also hoped that the
excursion had provided them an ideal opportunity to witness the infrastructural
development and the secular social fabric of our country. Children and
teachers were enthused following the trip and appreciated the role played
by the Rashtriya Rifles in motivating the children by organising such a trip.
