RAJOURI:
The return of peace in the remote border districts
of Rajouri and Poonch has brought in winds of change, promising lasting peace
and stability thereby opening new avenues for development and prosperity. Following the policy of ‘Indian Army of the
People, For the People, By the People’, Counter Insurgency Force Romeo launched
yet another people friendly initiative to train and guide eligible, aspiring
and volunteer youth of the area for recruitment into the armed forces. Aim of this training was to prepare, guide
and train the youth under close supervision of qualified army instructors for
recruitment rallies scheduled in near future.
The
selecteted youth were imparted training on various facets of selection
procedure for Army Recruitment Rallies and Central Armed Police
Forces which
included medical, physical and educational aspects. During the course of training they were made to undergo medical
examination similar to what is conducted during recruitment was also conducted
for all trainees physical tests, documentation check and written examination.
This drive drew an overwhelming response from the local youth and as many as
150 boys of Poonch district got benifitted from the training.
Parents of the young boys and local population have appreciated this
