Army distributes books, computers among students

AKHNOOR: A ceremony was conducted by Indian Army under OP SADBHAVANA at Govt Higher Secondary School, Khour in Akhnoor tehsil to distribute educational, motivational, historical books and computers with workstation to various schools of Khour Block.  

The Army once again took the opportunity to reiterate its pledge of providing continued support, guidance and assistance to the students.  The Army also motivated the youth who were present during the ceremony and encouraged them to join the Indian Army. 

Educational, motivational and historical books were distributed to Government Higher Secondary School, Khour, Government High (Girls) School, Khour, Government Middle School, Garar, Government High School, Hamirpur Sidhar, Government Middle School, Hamirpur Sidhar, Government Middle School, Pangali, Government High School, Detyal, Government Middle School, Gigrial and Government High School, Gigrial.   Computer with workstation were also distributed to Govt Higher Secondary School, Khour during the Ceremony. 

Thanking the Army, Mr Brij Lal, Principal, Govt Higher Secondary School Khour, said that the Army has always supported and provided children of remote villages a great opportunity for learning and becoming more responsible citizens.  Mr Saranglal a senior citizen from Hamirpur village also praised the noble work being done by the Army.  The local population wholeheartedly supported and attended the ceremony.
