Army organizes tour for children from Mahore
REASI: ‘Travelling Enhances Knowledge &
Learning’ was the theme of the Educational tour for twenty three children and two
teachers organised by Rashtriya Rifles
Battalion for a duration of fifteen days from 15 November to 30 November
2011. The tour was flagged in by Commander, Rashtriya Rifles at Sarh, in
the presence of the parents and officials from the civil administration.

Tithwal Brigade flags off educational/motivational awareness tour
RAJOURI: A
Motivational cum Educational tour of elders of far flung and remote areas of
Doongi Block of District Rajouri was flagged off from Narian on 26 Nov 11. The tour has been organised under the aegis
of Tithwal Brigade with the aim of making elders from remote border areas aware
of the rich heritage and cultural grandeur of the country.
The tour
would be conducted for over 15 days and will be visiting Ujjain, Saugor,
Pachmarhi, Bhopal and Khajuraho. One of the
elders participating in the tour, Mohd Munshi said “We are really excited at this
rare opportunity to visit other parts of our great country.
Students return from ‘education cum motivation’ organized Army’s 17 JAT
BARAMULLA: Continuing its efforts to provide
educational exposure and learning opportunity to the children 24 students and
two teachers of Mawar Valley, Naugam in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district returned
from 15 days ‘education cum motivation’ organized by Army’s 17 JAT “Mashkoh Warriors”,
under the aegis of TMG Brigade Dagger Division.

Medical camp organised at Targain village
RAJOURI: As part of welfare activities and
to ameliorate the problems of the Awwam, a medical camp was organised by Samote
Army unit under the aegis of Budhal Sector Headquarters at village Targain on
25 Nov 2011.
The camp witnessed an
unprecedented response from the populace with people even from far flung
villages attending the same. Prominent
members of civil administration including the Mr Baishakhi Ram, ZEPO Kotranka
and Mr Arsad, Patwari Samote also attended the camp.

8th Rashtriya Rifles Biennial Conference
UDHAMPUR: Eighth Biennial Conference of Rashtriya Rifles was conducted at Nagrota under the aegis of Northern Command. The
event is being attended by senior Army officers and Rashtriya Rifles
Commanders. Lt Gen Rameshwar Yadav, the Director General of Rashtriya
Rifles, anchored the conference.

KARGIL: The Kargil Victory Day (Kargil Yom-e-Fateh) was celebrated by the 8
Mountain Division of the Indian Army, on the 63rd anniversary of the
liberation of Kargil by Indian Army from Pakistani raiders. On this
occasion the GOC 14 Crops Lt General Ravi Dastane and Executive
Councilor LAHDC Kargil Haji Amir was the Chief Guest who along with
other officers and Civil Dignitaries started the Ceremony by lying
wreath at the Kargil War Memorial.
An Army mela was also organized by the 121 Infantry Brigade Kargil at Khree Sultan Choo Stadium Biamathang Kargil in which weapons exhibition, cultural programmes by school children and folk artists of Kargil, Multi specialty medical Camp, and various games and eatable stalls were the main exhibition.

Teams from the District Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry departments and the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, SKUAST, RS Pura, Jammu were also in attendance.
