ARMY DISTRIBUTES COMPUTERS AND STATIONARY TO SCHOOLS

DHARMARI: In continuation of its efforts to provide improved infrastructure to the local schools, Rashtriya Rifles Battalion under the aegis of HQ Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) distributed two computers each to Government High School, Juda and Government Higher Secondary School, Dharmari of Arnas Tehsils.  A function was organized at Government High School, Dharmari on 03 April 2012 wherein computers and other IT accessories were handed over to the respective Principals by the Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion. 

The computers were distributed under Operation Sadbhavana with the aim to give an impetus to the existing educational infrastructure available in the schools located in remote areas. The Zonal Education Officer of Arnas Tehsil, Mr Pradeep Singh was present during the ceremony.  He thanked the Army for its continued support. All Sarpanches of the adjoining villages were also present. 

The Commanding Officer of the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion while addressing the students urged to make optimum use of the computers being provided to them. He also spelt out the importance of having adequate IT knowledge in the present day scenario and urged the students to come forward and appear for competitive examinations like NDA and OTA. After the conclusion of the ceremony, a motivational movie on life of cadets at National Defence Academy, the elite Tri Service Training Institution was screened for the students. Many students after watching the movie were visibly keen to join the Institution.
