FREE MEDICAL CAMP BY ARMY AT VILLAGE KHARUA (BHADARWAH)

BHADARWAH: As part of civic action initiatives, 4 RR has been constantly undertaking variety of projects for the welfare of Bhadarwah.  Under the initiative planned by Army to benefit the populations of interior areas of J&K who are away from existing medical facilities, a free medical camp was organised at village Kharua in Bhadarwah on 25 Mar 12. 
The medical team comprising of Regimental Medical Officers of Rashtriya Rifles including doctors from PHC Bhalla and Nursing Assistants from Army, provided much needed specialised medical cover especially to ladies, children and elderly people.  A total of 168 women, 136 men and 102 children availed the facilities of free medical camp.    
The residents of remote villages of Kharua, Gajot, Malothi, Bhalla and Dugli turned up in huge numbers to avail the medical facilities.  Free medicines were also distributed to the patients. An elderly lady of the village Bhalla Smt Meena Devi, said that she had witnessed such medical camps being regularly conducted by the Army and has always benefitted from the check-up and free medicines being provided. 
Mr Devender Kotwal Sarpanch, Gajot and Mr Rishu Kumar Sarpanch, Dugli including Numberdars of the villages and Panchayat members appreciated this noble initiative by the Army in providing free medical aid to them at their door step in far flung areas.
