EDUCATIONAL MOTIVATIONAL TOUR ORGANISED BY 13 RR (KUMAON)

Smiling faces of the little ones,

Paled the brightness of the early sun,

 

Sadhbavana tour they say, is one such option,

To see some places of our country portion,

 

Jaipur, Agra and Ajmer need no mention,

These are the places they will see as a combination

 

With army as their true companion

Ambassadors of peace they will become for everyone

BANDIPORA: These were the lines echoed by a student named Master Bashir  Mir at the time of boarding the bus going for the educational cum motivational tour organised by 13RR (KUMAON), for the school children of Ganderbal and Bandipora  district.  This tour was flagged off by Commanding Officer, 13 RR(KUMAON) Col Manish Chaturvedi,SM  at Manasbal on 02 Feb 2012. The tour is being organised under Operation Sadhbhavana wherein a total of 30 children and two teachers are participating.  The tour, starting from Manasbal  will visit Agra, Jaipur and Ajmer. 

During the tour, the children will visit world famous Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Jamiya Masjid, City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Col Manish Chaturvedi,SM Commanding Officer of 13RR (KUMAON) interacted with the students to motivate and inspire them before their departure for the tour. Speaking on the occasion, the Teacher accompanying the Tour said “the tour will be very educative for the participating children of this area and will give them an opportunity to see the progress the nation has made in the field of technology and education, besides giving them an exposure to the cultural diversity in other parts of the country”. Master Faizan Tariq Safi  a student of the Angels Care Public School, Safapora remarked “we have heard of Taj Mahal, City Palace and Birla Planetarium  but this will be a dream come true for us once we actually visit these places during the tour”.

 

The Indian Army has been undertaking such education cum motivational tours for school going children of the State under Operation Sadhbhavana with an aim of spreading the message of peace and patriotism amongst the students of the State besides exposing them to evelopment in the country.  The tour will leave an indelible impression in the young minds and give them lifelong memories to cherish.
