This is in sync with the philosophy of using ‘Heart as a Weapon’ to constructively engage the populace in general and channelize the energies of the ‘Youth’ in particular. The aim of this cricket tournament is to involve the youth and ‘enhance the existing cricketing standards’ thereby inculcating an ‘environment of sports culture’ amongst the local populace. This tournament would thereby be a stepping stone in fulfilling the ‘vision statement’ i.e., “Integration of Jammu and Kashmir Cricketing Talent into the National Cricket Mainstream”.
The Indian Army is dedicated to the people of the nation and hopes that these sports activities will channelize the energies of today’s youth and galvanise them towards team and nation building ventures in the future- remarked a high ranking army officer when contacted. He also hoped that all agencies of the state and district, the Sport Authority, the Police Forces and various Sports Associations come together and make this event a huge success.
