HANDWARA: AWAM
AUR JAWAN AMAN HAI MUQAM’ - In an effort to strike a common chord with
the local populace, 21 Rashtriya Rifles, under the aegis of Kilo Force
organised Mobile Medical Teams. The ‘medical teams’ are functioning in
entire Rajwar region of Handwara Tehsil, for the past one week and will
continue its efforts till the requirement of Awam persists.
These
assistance teams are organised with an aim to reach out and
interact with civil population and distribute free medicines to the
needy people of the interior and inaccessible villages of Rajwar. The
mobile medical aid teams consists of foot patrols and vehicle patrol
under the regimental medical officer and Nursing Assistance.
The effort
of reaching to the snow bound and interiors of the entire Rajwar led to
distribution of medical aid to more than 1800 people suffering from
common ailments. These teams also provided relief to the off road
vehicles and their stranded passengers. This effort of Army of
providing medical aid is being highly appreciated by local populace of
Rajwar.
