VIST OF STUDENTS OF AGPS, PAHALGAM TO JAMMU, DELHI, MUMBAI & PUNE

SRINAGAR: Victor Force under Sadhbhavana organised a 13 days sight seeing and education tour to Jammu, Delhi, Mumbai & Pune for a total of 35 students from AGPS, Pahalgam.  The tour was flagged off from Aishmuqam on 22 Nov 11.  

Apart from the students, two teachers and an Army team comprising of seven persons including one Officer accompanied the Tour. The tour provided a rare opportunity to the youth of South Kashmir to visit various historical and other places of interest, such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi, Elephanta Caves, Essel World, Gate Way of India, Taj Hotel, Haji Ali, Nehru Planetarium, Marine Drive, Juhu Chowpati in Mumbai the prestigious National Defence Academy and Bajaj Auto Ltd, CME, Shaniwarwada in Pune.

The tour was flagged-in by Maj Gen Gurdeep Singh, GOC Victor Force at AGPS, Pahalgam on 07 Dec 2011, wherein he encouraged and congratulated everyone for the successful completion of the Tour and motivated the students to accomplish a better and bright future for themselves, the state and the country as a whole.

Enthusiastic and overwhelming response was received from the students and their parents as they together expressed their gratitude to the Army for providing this rare and exceptional opportunity to witness such Historical yet technologically advanced and spectacular cities of dreams like Jammu, Delhi, Mumbai & Pune as the students pledged to work towards achieving peace, harmony and progress for the country. The mesmerizing flagging-in ceremony was appreciated by one and all present during the occasion.
