Driving training cadre inaugurated at Talwara

REASI: A Driving Cadre for the local youth was inaugurated by Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles at District Reasi on 05 Dec 2011. In order to provide basic vocational training for furthering career prospects of youth, Rashtriya Rifles battalion at Sarh, Tehsil Mahore, Distt Reasi under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles garrison at Mahore has commenced a driving training cadre at  Talwara from  05 Dec 2011 to 25 Dec 2011.

Twenty youth who were selected from the villages of Sarh, Tuksan, Shajru, Saldahar and Batoi, Gool, Gulbargh would be imparted driving training.  A large number of locals attended the function.   The locals of the area were very appreciative of this gesture.
To encourage self employment amongst poorer sections of society, it was felt necessary to introduce vocational training to the youth. The training is being imparted at Talwara so that the trainees may first get acquainted with driving in plains before progressing to hill driving. A team of qualified instructors will impart training to the candidates. Driving licenses will be organised after conduct of driving test, which will ensure future employability of the participants.
