Next veterinary aid and rural development camps at villages Dalpard and Tikri

UDHAMPUR:  Two Veterinary Aid and Rural Development Camps are being organized by the Advance Field Veterinary Hospital on behalf of 71 Sub Area under the aegis OP SADBHAVNA at Dalpard and Tikri in district Udhampur on   24 Nov 2011 and  27 Nov 2011 respectively. 

In addition to providing treatment, animal husbandry advice and specialist veterinary cover, these Camps will be all encompassing in nature. Each camp is aimed at providing needy farmers and ex-servicemen of that region a single window of opportunity to interact with Army agencies like ECHS, ESM help line, DGR, doctors from the Army Medical Corps etc in addition to all civil administration officials involved in rural development.

The Veterinary Aid and Rural Development Camps are being organized in collaboration with Civil District Animal Husbandry authorities and specialist teams from the Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, SKUAST, RS Pura, Jammu. Specialist diagnostic and treatment facilities will be provided free of cost to the sick animals of the villagers who will be attending the camp. Veterinary medicines will be issued free of cost.

Additional attractions at the camps will include stalls established by Directorate General Resettlement, Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Zilla Sainik Welfare board, Military Farms, Army Medical Corps, Civil Departments of Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Social Forestry, and other Rural Developmental agencies. 

The J&K Bank and State Bank of India will also be participating in the camp. All these agencies will be exhibiting the various schemes of their departments and distributing free samples to the farmers.   M/S Shalimar feeds Pvt Ltd will also be distributing free animal feed packets. Free male calves and a stud bull will also be distributed free of cost to early birds by Military Farms.
