NATIONAL INTEGRATION TOUR FLAGGED OFF TO PUNE

HANDWARA: A National integration tour ‘Watan Ki Sair’ from Rajwar to Pune was flagged off by Brigadier KJS Dhillon, YSM Commander 7 Sector from Pohrupet, Handwara. The tour encompasses 20 students and 03 teachers from Vilgam, Qaziabad, Mawar, Zachaldor and Handwara on 03 Mar 12. 
 
The tour will be witnessing the life outside the valley for two weeks. The tour itinerary includes sightseeing at Srinagar, Patni Top and various tourist places at Jammu. At Jammu they will also be visiting a Mechanised Infantry Battalion. The tour is being hosted by 21 RR (GUARDS).
 
In Pune, they will be visiting various prestigious institutions like National Defence Academy, Khadagwasla, Army Institute of Physical Training, Army Sports Institute and Bombay Engineering Group Centre etc. At NDA they will be having an interactive session with the Cadets of J&K. They will also be witnessing rich Rajasthani culture at Chokhi Dhani. The tour will also see historical Singarh Fort and visit around the city.
 
The tour is definitely going to motivate the youths for channelizing their energy in constructive manner after seeing the life in other parts of the country, said one of the parent. One of the mothers who came to see off her son thanked Army for its goodwill gesture and prayed for long life of everyone. 
 
All students were thrilled and excited. One of students said that it was like his dream coming true going outside the valley and especially visiting prestigious institution like NDA. Before flagging off, Col CK Rajesh, SM**, CO 21 RR (GUARDS) presented a set of personal kit to the students and teachers.
